Hot Fudge Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp instant espresso powder (or instant coffee)
- 1 cup heavy cream (milk will also work, sauce will be slightly thinner)
- 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
Directions
- Combine the sugar, cocoa, salt & espresso powder in a small saucepot, mix well to combine and work out any cocoa lumps. Add cream/milk, place pan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until everything is combined and smooth. Add butter and continue to stir until the butter has melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
- Transfer to a quart mason jar and store in the refrigerator. It will harden as it cools so when ready to use, simply reheat in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
